At the entrance to driveways serving 27 Offley Road and 122 Congleton Road, Sandbach

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:43, Sun 5 December 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3160622.

Gully 790025732 continually floods during periods of rain. This has been reported previously twice by ourselves (roughly 12 months and 6 months ago) where we were told that it would be cleaned at the same time as the other gullies in the area, this wasn't done as we saw the other gullies being done and this one was missed. The photo's attached are taken at 10am on Sunday 5th December when the water level had actually receded as on the evening of Saturday 4th December during the hours of darkness the water was dangerously all across the road to the central keep left bollards hiding the actual give way road markings. Can you please action and clean this gully asap before a serious road traffic accident happens. Thanks in advance

  • We deal with gullies based on the level of immediate risk. We have assessed this location and it is not considered to present an immediate danger to highway users at this time. We are due to empty the gullies here as part of our routine programme in the next 12 weeks. This means we will not visit before the scheduled visit unless there is an immediate threat to life or the inside of property. You can find out the scheduled visit date by visiting our website: highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ gullies-and-drains.aspx
