Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3098252.
The pavement on this short stretch of road is overgrown in places and forcing pedestrians onto the road on a bend on the very busy A525. All of this stretch of pavement is very narrow and isnt helped by the overgrowth alongside. It is a fast busy road used by large vehicles that are only inches away from pedestrians. Trying to walk alone is difficult but even worse with a buggy or a dog and is extrememly dangerous. Whilst I completely agree with conservation, in this situation the safety of pedestrians should come first.

We have assessed the issue and added it to our improvement programme for repair over the longer term. This means we are unlikely to do any improvement work here during the current financial year. Our programmes sometimes change if more funding becomes available. You should check our website for any updates. You can find details of the work planned for this location and where it currently sits on the programme through our website: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ highways_and_roads/ road-maintenance/ road-repair-and-improvement-programme-2021-2022/ road-repair-and-improvement-programme-2021-2022.aspx
