Impassable on foot. Junction of Fulshaw Park and Knutsford Rd

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category by Leigh Bird at 20:24, Sun 31 October 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3095643.

These drains flood repeatedly in heavy rainfall. Problem seems to be exacerbated when knutsford road is swept and the leaves just pushed down Fulshaw Park.

Problem eased up a bit this afternoon but worsened again. These drains need attention on a long-term basis

Should also be done in conjunction with knutsford road road sweeping practices. Residents need to keep sweeping the road.

I’ve tried to clear the gulleys but to no avail. This road us impassable except for welly-wearers who know to plan ahead.

  • Please can you tell me whether any remedial action has been taken or whether the job has simply been closed?

The floodwater will always go down eventually. However the drains need checking and cleaning. The problem happens nearly every time it rains hard, and the floodwaters back up to the houses on some occasions.

I do not consider this matter resolved or attended to if there has been no remedial action taken.

    Thank you 😊 🙏
