  • In reply to your response last Thursday afternoon I need to correct on the points made. Firstly neither houses 60,62,91,93 or the entire of Lime Grove had any letters put through. Additionally access and egress to all these properties was denied for Thursday afternoon until the evening. Our visitors weren’t allowed to park at or outside with their car and luggage, neighbours who had been out in their vehicle could not get back to their own driveway. When I spoke to the contractor I was informed that they had posted everyone they needed to and that the road sign made it quite clear where and when the closure would be, as this was not covering the area outside my driveway it appeared that the road closure would not affect my access. This was not the case. We have been inconvenienced and could have been avoided if the correct procedures were followed. Telling businesses and residents Where the closure or restriction affects businesses and residents or other frontage owners, you must notify them at least 14 days in advance.

Failure to comply with any of the above listed responsibilities, will result in your licence/permit being revoked

    State changed to: Open

  • Correct procedure for road closure was not followed by contractors or authority permit issuers which left home owners unable to access or egress their homes for many hours .
