A555 30+ street lights affected in a row. Handforth junction heading towards Bramhall.
Reported via desktop in the Light Out category anonymously at 20:21, Wed 20 October 2021
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3075075.
These lights have not worked since before the Manchester Relief Road project. There are more than 30 street lights in a row not working on a high speed route, a route which is now frequently used by pedestrians and cyclists due to the new footpath installed same time as the relief road. It really needs working lighting, it just isn't safe for all road users at night without it. This problem has been on going now for a matter of years and doesn't seem to be getting resolved.

This is not part of the adopted highway network, so we do not maintain it. You can search for the roads we maintain on our gazetteer: https://maps.cheshireeast.gov.uk/ ce/ adoptedroadsgazetteer/ Search.aspx. The adjacent landowners are usually responsible for maintenance. You should either contact them or the local Residents Association to let them know about the problem. We are unable to pass on details about the landowner, but you can find out information about them through The Land Registry: https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry
