Further to my previous report/s that you have closed and has remained an unresolved issue (reference numbers is 304323 / 3064617 ). The last report 3064617 was closed yesterday 2 hours after me reporting it - Has someone actually been out to review?? Your comment "We have assessed the issue and it does not present an immediate risk to highway users at this time" - I beg to differ - as a cyclist myself it is extremely dangerous as the dip cannot be avoided and is different to a pothole ( in that you cant really see it coming ) and is extremely dangerous as it causes a cyclist to become very unsteady and very dangerously makes you move out further into the road of traffic behind you or overtaking you, especially on a part of a road that is very busy, quite narrow and approaching a bend. This could easily cause an accident or fatality. There has obviously been some historic work completed to a poor standard on the road and this has resulted in a dip hole on the left hand side of the road - this is before the pedestrian entrance to the estate and near to a telephone/electriciy box. The dip/hole results in huge thuds when cars and lorries go past resulting in constant shaking and shuddering of over 20 properties on the estate which will definitely over time affect and cause damage to peoples homes. This is also extremely dangerous for cyclists - I have witnessed several cyclist being taken by surprise by the dip causing them to nearly fall from their bike. Also as this is right next to a very thin pavement and on a bend it is very unnerving when walking on the pavement and could be extremely dangerous. As you had previously closed the report please dont hesitate to contact me when you are due to inspect and I can give you further information on the location if needed as this is now completely unacceptable on a noise and safety basis.
