Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Jeffrey Charles Cuttell at 18:14, Sat 2 October 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3038096.

Reported just 24hrs before. But I wanted to show the rapid rate of deterioration as the sinkhole collapses. Compare photos please. The yellow item in the hole is my mobile phone case. It’s has got even worse again in the last 24 hours since this phot was taken… but not before my car sustained damage. At the moment this is relatively minor damage to the plastic underbody protection torn off as the vehicle grounded when the hole collapsed under the weight of the car. I’d be grateful if you could offer guidance as to how I make a claim. Thanks.

  • I have just updated my submission to the Ref No: 3411844. I refer you to the images and text of that update. This second hole from this job, Ref No: 3038096 is now 10" deep and growing (the original hole next to it is 8" deep). These are not potholes - it is a developing road collapse. My update to the first job included updated text and photos of the highway damage - but I include here an image of me, working from this driveway as a volunteer emergency blood biker (see other update). On vehicle damage: So far, the damage is limited to two of our personal vehicles, but God help Cheshire East Council if vital health supplies are lost due to this developing situation - my next shift is not for another 8 days, so you have a few days to consider the matter. (As my report from earlier today has shown updated photographs taken prior to the arrival of your repair team, I attach here photos of me blood biking from here as evidence of what I say, and two example photos as evidence of just some of the damage to our personal vehicles: To the underside of my Mini, and to my motorcycle when the side of this second pothole collapsed under my foot whilst manoeuvring from the road to park on the driveway and I fell off the motorcycle)
