Incorrect Stop junction road line marking
Reported via desktop in the Lining category anonymously at 12:27, Tue 16 March 2021
Sent to Cheshire East Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 2612385.
Junction line marking incorrectly indicates that this is a give way junction, by way of dashed highway line marking instead of the correct solid white line.

All roads and footways on the highway network are regularly inspected as part of our scheduled safety inspection regime. The report has been assessed and will be considered for inclusion in an appropriate future programme. At this stage, we are unable to give any indication on timescale. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the condition of this location via the scheduled inspection regime, and keep it in a safe condition for all highway users.

This is an unsatisfactory response. From assessing historical Google Streetview imagery, this error was put in place between July 2015 and September 2016. July 2015 imagery shows the correct 'Stop' line marking. The accuracy of aforementioned 'safety inspections' are therefore called into question as to their effectiveness in spotting a clear error.
This junction remains a dangerous one, with the lack of correct road markings only adding to the issue.
