Hedgerow obstruction of footpath

Reported via desktop in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category anonymously at 23:43, Tuesday 23 February 2021

Sent to Cheshire East Council 35 minutes later. Council ref: 2567521.

Ingress of hedges onto public footpath causing pedestrians when passing each other to step into the highway from various properties between Jessica way and Rhodes Close. The growing season is about to start which will exacerbate the situation, currently the ingress is about 12 to 18 inches which is quite significant on such a narrow path. Schoolchildren and parent are very prominent users of this path.

  • Further to my previous report the house o the corner of Jessop Way has had the headge removed and a fence erected. This will confirm the extent of the problem when compared with other properties farther along the road.
