The road drains on Church Lane, from Willow Drive junction towards the M6 Bridge are all severely blocked. This is causing a lot of standing water on both the roads and footpaths. All the road drains from Willow Drive to the M6 Bridge are blocked and do not allow water to flow

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2475455.
This issue has been present for some time, at least 12mths, however the photo's taken today (13/01/21) do not represent the problem at its worst. Prolonged rainfall exacerbates the amount of surface water, with flooding levels during constant rain covering the entire carridgeway at times. The creates traffic flow issues, especially for cars passing on what is already a narrow road. It also creates issues for pedestrians gaining access to the Wildlife corridor, St. John's Church and the numerous public footpaths beyond. The flooding also will encroach on footpaths and driveways around No. 25, 23 on Church Lane

After some fairly heavy rain, the standing water does appear to have diminished, which is great! I will continue to monitor whether it becomes more of a problem, but the works carried out certainly appears to have had a marked effect.
