Health and Safety issue: unnecessary fence at side of gate.
Reported via desktop in the Barriers category anonymously at 13:28, Tue 5 January 2021
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2462471.
This fence beside the gate is not necessary. Neither the police nor airport security object to people accessing the supposedly private part north of the gate. I have been there when the police ame through, and they held the gate open for me and commented how fortuitous it was that they were there unlocking it to drive through. When I climbed on top of the gate another time to heave my bike over, an airport security bloke offered to help me. If you come from the Styal direction there are no signs saying it is private. Please remove the five planks of wood next to the gate post, and put a bollard 3 metres down the hill to stop people parking right up against the fence. You can see how much this is used by the state of the verge, now completely muddy with no grass left there at all. Climbing over slippery wood or metal is a Health and Safety issue, these are very slippery and someone will fall. If you opened the fence this would provide a useful means of avoiding the traffic in Wilmslow when going from Styal out in the Ashley direction. I've put the location as exactly as I can using your map. If you use what3words, the location is concerned.tangent.discusses Thanks
