Hedge/Tree Maintenance problem

A large branch has snapped off the oak. A member of public has taken it upon themselves to remove some logs however- they were told to leave well alone due to the position of the branch. A section of timber it leaning on a branch but could easily become unhung if cut wrong which would result in falling onto the main road.
It has also damaged a hedge where young calves are present in the field.

The report has been assessed. At the time of inspection, there were no defects identified that were considered to present a danger to highway users. We will continue to keep the highway safe for all users via our scheduled safety inspection regime, when any defects that fall within intervention levels will be identified and arrangements made for prompt repair.
