Reported in the Hedge/Tree Maintenance category by Cllr Craig Browne at 12:34, Wed 13 May 2020
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2114547.
There is a very large beech tree in the grass verge in front of No.16 Wilton Crescent. The tree has been in a deteriorating condition for some time and is now clearly dead. I am concerned about the tree falling in strong wind and causing damage to my own property (No.23 Wilton Crescent) or neighbouring properties.

The tree has been felled, but the contractor has not drilled out the stump, which they have left in the grass verge with a traffic cone placed on top of it. It isn't clear whether they are intending to return to complete the job; also the a-board advising of the footpath closure is still there.
