Gully/Drainage problem
Reported via Open311 in the Gully/Drainage category by Cheshire East Council at 10:08, Wed 11 March 2020
Council ref: 2063425.
The caller reports that there is flooding at this location every time it rains. The caller says a number of resdients have contacted us about this but nothing has been done (no ref. nos). The caller says that there are currently CEH workers putting a new grid in a few doors down however the caller says that the flooding issues are not there, they are in fact in front of 413. The caller says that when it does rain, the footway is underwater and the water on the carriageway extend out to the middle of the road (and also from the other side). The caller says that they can actually see water bubbling up from the drain rather than it taking it away. The caller is concerned that this problem is causing their drains to back up as well and the callers elderly mother is struggling to cope with access to the property because of the standing water. The caller says that we have attended to clear these drains previously however this has not solved the problem. ROC Can you please contact Mrs Dale to discuss the situation please? Mrs Dale would like to know what we propose to do and she asks why we are working on a drain a few houses down at a high point when the actual problem is in front of their property? Can we attend and evaluate please? Can you call Mrs Dale please? Thanks RB.
