White concrete blocks on verge stretching about 25 yards are a safety hazard . It is on a council grass verge outside No 153 Colleys lane . It is on the very edge of a dangerous bend with limited road space for passing cars . Any small incident with say a large farm vehicle would cause a vehicle to run into them making a major traffic accident .

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 1434295.
This has already been reported by others and the obstructions remain. It is only time before they cause an accident

It has been reported by my neighbour at local and parish council level . Sometime ago the number of blocks was reduced but the length covered along the verge remained the same. The person laying them apparently has been abusive to council workers and has not permitted the council mower to run over this area

Still no action by the council. Not surprised as my neighbour reported it over two years ago and he got no response either at parish and even with direct face to face discussion with councillors Its an accident waiting to happen !!

Well, how very disappointing that the 'anonymous' correspondent has failed so badly to stick to the truth. The concrete blocks placed on the verge next to 153 Colleys Lane have, in fact, successfully saved the verges from continued deterioration from vehicles parking and driving on them. The deterioration was leading to mud on the road as cars drove from the verges as the grass was no longer holding the earth together. So much so, that some 'anonymous' person chose to complain to the council about the mud and water running off 'my land'. The verges are now sound and produce no mud on the corner of the road. It is such a shame that 'anonymous' chooses to make up stories about me. (Yes, I am the occupier of 153 Colleys Lane). Where has 'anonymous' got the idea that I have been abusive to council workers? Where has 'anonymous' got the idea that I have prevented council staff from mowing the verge (I actually mow it myself at least twice as often as the council- my time, my mower, my petrol)? When and how has 'anonymous' witnessed me having any conversation with any council workers? (I did have a very friendly chat with a council grass mower on one occasion - suggesting he saved himself twenty minutes and have a brew, as I mow the grass myself (and control weeds and encourage wild flowers)). 'Anonymous' has made these things up. Accident waiting to happen? One would have to leave the road and drive on the grass about a metre from the tarmac to hit one of these quite small (small bucket size) 'bollards', After five long years, the poor old accident is still waiting to happen and as there is no longer any mud or excessive water on the bend, the wait is just getting longer. Yes, this is a very narrow section of the road and a blind bend. Not helped, while we're here, by the overgrown hedges on the other side of the road, which force vehicles to cross the centre of the road when travelling south (Middlewich Road to Nantwich Road). Odd that 'anonymous' has singled out my 'bollards' when there are numerous similar things on other verges all along Colleys Lane. Some personal issue perhaps? I have no idea. So. lots of reporting by 'anonymous' to the council (with whom I have had extensive civilised discussions and correspondence) and 'anonymous' sad, false accusations about me on 'fix my street', but no-one, no-one, has the decency (balls even) or brains to actually come and talk to me about their concerns. The only people who have spoken to me have supported my protection of the verges. So, 'Anonymous', come and talk.

I think that in the absence of any signs or lines to alert motorists to the bend in the road, the white blocks encourage motorists to slow down and take the bend with more care. Absolutely agree that the hedges opposite need cutting as visibility is very poor. The accident waiting to happen I fear will be caused by a dog walker causing traffic to cross the centre of the road to avoid them.
